Home from the Plantations

June 21, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Got new shoes and shorts this morning. The running store was open, even though Simeons is still all messed up. They got the truck out, but the building still looks like its going to fall down. Went up to Forest Home with the dogs, started up there and then ran home. Route was pretty much all down hill, so I felt pretty good most of the time. Took Ridge Trail, through the Plantations, out by the Flying Diaper. Ran up the hill and cut through the green houses to Tower Rd. I took a pit stop to go to the bathroom at the new Dairy bar. Its pretty cool very modern, what I imagine getting ice cream on a spaceship would be like. Cornell really likes this design for foyers. Anyways after the bathroom kept cruzing down Tower Rd, did a loop around the Arts Quad then wound down to the Bridge on Stewart Ave and took Cascadilla Park Rd down the rest of the hill. Came down Court St. There were a ton of people at the St Pauls Church, no idea what was going on there, maybe a huge game of hide and seek. Anyways continued down Court to Albany and then took that back home. Really picked up the pace when I got downtown. Legs were feeling good, and the new shoes are a lot lighter. Had to stop at a bunch of red lights so that broke up the pace. It was really nice out today. Campus was beautiful lots of people walking around. Just so pleasant to cruize around town.

Essentials: Stretch

Quick stretch on the porch. Legs are a little tight. Feet are fine from the new shoes. The hills made my knee a little sore but I took the hills easy for the most part. New shorts are good too. Janji has some quality stuff glad to see them making into the market.
