Start of Mountain Rd

July 2, 2014 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Huge thunderstorm came in this afternoon. I was in the thermal lab and didnt even notice it. When I went in it was sunny and when I came out, it was all dark and downpouring. Pushed the run to after dinner. It was so worth it. I was still a little full from dinner, so that slowed me down in the beginning. Still it was cool and wet from all the rain and real nice running weather. Cruized up to the meadow, took a bathroom break, then came back. Legs felt like bricks on the way up. Havnt run in the past few days, and havnt stretched either, so I was pretty tight. On the way back legs started to feel better. Loosened up. Last mile I was flying. I have no idea why I didnt try to speed up, I just did. I love those runs where you dont control the pace, and your legs just run the way they want to. Feels so natural. Sometimes that pace is painfully slow, but sometimes its surprisingly fast, and it feels so emancipating. Finished up with two striders. Quad was a little tight on those, probably because I was moving my legs faster than usual.

Essentials: Stretch

Stretched outside. Legs feel a little better. Left quad still feels a little tight, but I can work that out with a roller. Also probably should fit in a leg hang. Legs are feeling like they need it. An ice bath would do too. Havnt taken one of those in a long time...
