Dat V

July 12, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: ~80 degrees, Hot

Comments:
Woke up early for the run today, as planned, but ended up lying in bed for another 2 hours so I didn't get out the door until 10:30. Which was a terrible idea. It was super hot and bright out by that time. Not much happened, just hot and sunny in the farms. Shade became more valuable than gold. Wind like ecstasy. Last 3 miles or so were particularly rough, I was feeling really dehydrated, and all I could think about was getting back home and getting some water. I think I might revise my route for the next several runs so I can get some water at home and then add on some.

After getting back home and drinking a ton of water, I realized that at some point I stopped sweating during the run, and as a consequence of that, there was a very clear line of salt on my shorts in a V shape. Not sure how long that was there for, but it would definitely explain some of the looks I got during the run today. Also, similar pace as last week, even though today just felt crazy slow from the heat. So I guess maybe it wasn't that rough after all.

This is also pretty spectacular:
