So today happened. Eden Autism 5k. I wasn't expecting to get a crazy fast time, but I did expect to at least have a decent time. I'm not going to post it here, but if you really want to see it, some Google-fu can get you there. I'm mostly just disappointed since a 5k I did last summer at the beginning of July was way faster than I was today. I guess today is something of a learning experience. 1, having a race two days after a long run can be a little tiresome. 2, I need to start focusing in on doing workouts (steady state/hills). I've already started hills, but steady states I need to start soon. 3, I need a better pace on my daily runs. I don't ever seem to push myself to a decent speed, and that needs to change. I've still got a month until the season starts, so it shouldn't be too late to fix things up.
