Weather: ~70 degrees, Nice
Comments:
Long day today. To PHS + Dempsey. Much cooler today than last week, which I appreciated so much. Since last week I felt pretty burned out in the last couple miles, I thought I'd have something to eat before the run today. So I had a banana. Except for my stomach feeling a bit 'heavy' in the first half of the run, it was absolutely a good decision. I felt much more energized even at the end of the run. Bit of concern though. During most of the run, there was just a constant, low pain at the inside lower part of my right leg. Not quite shin splints, but it doesn't feel like its coming from any tendons, so fingers crossed right now its just some weird soreness/ leftovers from my old shoes. I'll keep it iced, and hopefully it'll go away on its own.
Special treat after the run today: a massage! After a summer of running, and not having a day off in more than a month, I needed some deep relaxation. Felt super good, and a bunch of knots that I didn't realize I had are gone now. Last lecture of P2 is tonight, and afterwards I get to hang with some old friends. Today's shaping up to be a good day.
