Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Turned out to be a beautiful day today. Much slower pace at lab I just got a lot of reading done. Meant that I sure was ready for a run. I would have loved to head to Veale and hang out before practice, then suit up in the locker room before a tempo, but next best (and feasible) option was to head out on the Rail Trail. Not a whole lot of people out so I got to cruise through. Felt slow getting started, but hit a good pace at the turn around. I think its uphill out and downhill back... Either way, felt better coming back and really picked it up the last 2 miles or so. Just had a strong feeling that I havnt really had in a while. That feeling like you are in some sort of shape. Nice! Had a few stomach cramps on the way back but I made it through them. The bugs were pretty bad today. I wasnt that great of a "windshield", as most of the bugs got stuck in my hair. Eww...
Essentials: Stretch
Really good stretch when I got back. Legs feeling worked and strong afterwards. Not sore and weak like yesterday. I like getting in the longer runs. I am at the point where the mileage above 3 is really beneficial, and I feel like I can manage them enjoyably. Thats what I am looking for at this stage.
