Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First Night Run in a while. I stayed later at lab, so I ate dinner right when I got home. Had to digest a while because I was having a stomach ache. Eventually got out there after sundown though. The night was cool so shirt and shorts were still perfect. And of course a headlamp. Started out on the Rail Trail first. Its spooky there at night. Pitch black and all alone. Real cool to cruise down though, just got to be careful of acorns. Took a bathroom break before cutting back into lighted roads. Went slower up Amity, watching the cracks in the road. I had to trust myself that I could keep my ankles safe. Thats what I like about night running, you really need to trust yourself that you know where you are going and what you are doing. Had to wait at the stop light for a while though, but it was nice to chill there, watching people out and about. Felt really good coming back down the road back to the house. Loosened the legs up right.
Essentials: Stretch
Quick and not very effective stretch when I got back. I couldnt stretch outside, and I didnt want to get the hardwood all nasty. Legs felt sore though from what I did do. Back is feeling less swollen, bruise is better. Short but sweet mileage today. Also nice to get out into the night. The winter is brutal with sunlight so thats gonna be the norm soon.
Forgot to stop my watch at the light and this is a little more than 3, so the pace was actually ok.
