Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Was going to run on campus today, but at 3pm it was 90 in the heat index, so I scratched that. I started sweating walking back to the parking lot! I hung around the house in the afternoon and ate dinner, then lounged around prepping for a night run. I was excited actually. When I went out, sun was just setting and the temp was real good. Brought the headlamp for the way back. Did a reverse of Whitney, but added on a little bit around the high school (In a Z shape). Kinda just wandering around to add on mileage. Might have to modify that add on because its not quite 5, and not quite 5.5... Still it was nice loop. Legs were getting a little tired at Wildwood, but its all downhill from there. I just cruized down Whitney, focusing on the road and not trying to fall in a hole. Felt a little better as I came back along Amherst Colleges campus. I did have to wait at the stop light for a while, which is usually a nice breather but I was so close to home and was in the zone, so it kinda messed me up. Felt real good on the way back. The night runs are really something special :). I looked up at the moon today during my run, and the first thing I thought of was this:

I thought that was funny.
Essentials: Stretch
Quick stretch inside, since the bugs were coming out. I didnt want to get the floor all nasty cause I was still sweating due to the brutal humidity. The side room will make a nice stretch and abs room when the temp drops.
This version of the loop is more than 5 but ill log it as 5 then round up later. Without cutting through the tennis courts, it will be 5.5. So pace was def less than 8:00. I was slow up the hills probably but felt a lot quicker on the flats.
Distance | Duration | Pace | Interval Type | Shoes |
