Campus Loop Pre Meet Shakeout

Ran after seminar and cleaning up the coffee. So I started a little late. I wanted just an easy loop to shake my legs out since they have been feeling stiff since I got back from SC. Did a campus loop and went down under the southwest Tunnel, since I have never actually been there before. Basically a course review for tomorrow. As I looped around, there were a bunch of Orthodox Jewish looking peeps in a crowd, and as I ran by, one shouted at me "Are you Jewish?" I was so amazed by their Jewdar that I didnt say anything and just kept running. Plus, if they were Chabad and they were proselytizing, I would have blown them off anyways cause their aint much more for them to do. Kept the pace easy as I ran back up to the parking lot. Looped by the engineering buildings so I could finish in the grass.

Essentials: Stretch, hips, roll

Stretched and hips in the grass after doing a few shake out striders. Legs still feel tight, not all that fresh for a race. Race day is always different though. You never know what to expect until the gun goes off. Always got to go in with the right mindset, ready to achieve, otherwise whats the point? The stretching and hips did make my legs a little looser. Rolling the IT felt great as well. Weather should be nice this weekend good for racing. I am excited to get back into that situation. I havnt been thinking about it much, just plan to go in there and have fun. Should be a fun weekend overall with football back in Amherst. Apparently the tickets are all sold out, I was planning on getting them game day. WTF we better win this one...
