14x400m at American University (what better birthday present?) after 1:30 planks and leg lifts at the beginning of practice, behind Aidan, Tristan and Zeke. Anthony told me not to be disappointed and that I looked great--but not great enough since I ran 30+ meters behind the group the whole time and just can't, no matter how much I stretch, how much extra strength work I do, move at a similar speed. I fought this battle back and forth in my head the whole time, being completed frustrated and not quite tired enough at the end. I paced Katherine through her 12th for which even she ran 71.
