Weather: cloudy, nice during race, warm sunny before hand
Comments:
Warmed up with Elijah by running the course. I felt pretty tired and was worried I had eaten too much at Rotary. Also my knee felt bad. So I was pretty not confident. But then the sun went away right before the race and that helped a lot. The race started and I was feeling pretty good. I think I went out a tiny bit fast still but not nearly as bad as last week. I was behind Nick Bandel the entire time but I was also within 10-30 meters of him all the way until the finishing stretch. It felt good cause I knew he could feel the pressure. I gained on him on the final uphill even though I was tired as heck but then he pulled away on the downhill and the flat. Still, I was only 12 seconds behind. Our team got 2-7th place too so we won handily. After the race I cooled down with whole course, it was a good day.
