Horse Hill

December 21, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Didnt feel like running around downtown, so after digesting most of my lunch drove up to campus. It was really quiet no one was around. Cold and cloudy but I got in a nice run. From the track ran up through Plantations and the Salad Bowl, then up Horse Hill, through the barn and down past the golf course, through Hasbrouck and Appel, then across Thurston and back up to the track via Barton and Teagle. The trails were pretty treacherous. They were wet from the rain and icy from the low temps. Very slippery had to go slow on them. Luckily I never fell and my feet stayed dry and warm. Past the golf course started to get some stomach cramps but I just ran through them. That slowed me down the rest of the way but I still felt pretty quick and comfortable. Got into a nice rhythm today. Its nice to run around in a "new" setting and break the mold, made me want to go further.

Essentials: Stretch

Just a nice stretch on the sidewalk when I got back. Ankle and legs feel good. Right hammy is a little tight. My left arch was hurting this morning as well but I didnt notice it at all when running.

As always its hard to map the trails, but I think this was a little less than 5.5, but I rounded up earlier in the week so Ill round down today. Pace was a lot quicker than reported.
