Giles

January 2, 2015 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
My luggage finally came in after three days in transit. Means that I got my shoes and could go for a run. Most of the day I felt pretty crappy from the lack of running. The past few weeks have been really low mileage and my body can tell. Ran in the evening with my new headlamp, which is really good. Its high tech and has a bunch of settings. Ran up to Giles, ran up the whole thing to Belle Sherman, then through campus up past Barton, down to the Clocktower and Ho Plaza, then down Cascadilla Park Rd through the graveyard. Came back home on Court and Albany. Nice longer run I just felt like running. I really needed that. Kinda like wound up miles. Ran past Barton for a little IUTC nostalgia. The night time view of downtown from the top of Libe Slope was also pretty awesome. No one was out tonight so I just kept cruzing along.

Essentials: Stretch

Stretch was pretty good. Naturally I was pretty sore afterwards. Mostly parts of my legs and my groin. Great run though I picked up the pace a lot once I hit the flats on downtown. Thats the sign of a good run, when you can hold a pace and then pick up the last mile or two. Felt great to get back out on the streets tonight.
