Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
No, President Abraham Lincoln was not afraid of three sided polygons... Got outside for a little town run in the evening after being back at work. Felt good to be back in the grind I was pretty excited about research today. It was chilly out, but not super cold, only really cold in the wind. Ran a decent little loop, coming back on Dickinson and through Amherst College. It was 50s yesterday, so the snow began to melt, but in the 20s today, so now all the fields are a smooth flat ice sheet. I was too tempted to go sliding on it. I slid down one of the hills at Amherst College on the way back. It was super steep and I got going pretty fast. I was on my bum, but I would hit soft patches and it would cut me up, so I tried to switch to my feet. As soon as I stood up I sunk into the snow and went flying into the air. I landed on my knees and they got kinda scraped up. Finished up the run but my right knee was bleeding a fair bit when I got back. It aint winter without running battle scars. Overall good run. Poor pace but there were parts where I felt good and others where I slowed down.
Essentials: Stretch
Short stretch since I was nursing my knee. Bandage and ice it and it will be fine. Legs feel pretty good otherwise it was refreshing to get outside today. The upcoming forecast shows some really nasty running conditions gonna have to gametime decision it with the windchill. Ankles felt surprisingly good on the tough icy and uneven snow.
Was a little longer than 3.5 but I rounded down.
