Rec Center Treadmill

Wanted to see what all the fuss was about at the gym. Apparently there was a line to even get in! It wasnt that bad, there was a line but it was short and most of the cardio stuff was open. The weights are a different story... Anyways stayed late on campus, dropped my stuff off at the car then ran over to the gym for warm up. It was pretty cold out tonight. Glad I opted for indoors. Checked in, shed my layers, then hopped on the treadmill. I usually dont like treadmills, dont have much experience with them, but the sidewalks are so shitty I have to try it. Wasnt that bad. stuck at a good pace, picked it up to 6:30 pace for a half mile in the middle, then cooled down at a pretty slow pace. Stayed inline the whole time and felt pretty comfortable. Kept it short to be safe since the landing surface isnt great. The fast part felt awesome havnt opened up like that in a while. Makes me miss tempos and workouts where we would just blast that pace for miles... After taking a few minutes figuring out how to turn the darn thing off, I put my clothes back on and ran back to the car. Its real trippy trying to run after being on a treadmill everything speeds by real fast. I almost lost it walking through the gym to get my stuff.

Essentials: Stretch

Real light stretch after I got home and put all my shit away. Legs feel pretty sore gonna have to stretch out some more. Ankle is good, knees might be a little tight, but overall run felt great today after a long day of science.
