Comments:
I finally had a good long run today. A bit under 8 mins for the first 5 miles as I struggled to get myself moving. Then I started going after I got up a big hill at 5 miles and ran 7:20 for the next 6 and ran just about 7 minutes for the last 5. Even though my legs felt tired I still felt real smooth and in control for those last 5.
I did some research and found that for a 9:30 steeple they give you 30 seconds for an altitude conversion so I figure the altitude is slowing me down about 20 seconds a mile which I think sounds about right.
