Weather: Heat and humidity, diminished by thick cloud cover, showers on the way back
Comments:
Had a great workout at AU, much in line with the beginning of the new era that my 800m PR on Saturday has ushered in. 2x800m at "Ideal two mile pace," followed by 4x400m at "1200m pace." Recovery lasted the length of the previous interval. I was dreading the 8s, but felt smooth and relaxed during them--ditto for the 4s. It was SO refreshing to run next to Zeke again and his presence helped most on the final 400m. I have been seriously tapering strength work this week and continued that trend today. 9 hours of sleep, not sitting in school all day and three, square meals undoubtedly contributed to today's success.
