Fighting Water

Exercise Type: Swim

I biked 1.4 miles to the pool for ten mins, super hilly, so I kept the bike at a low gear. Then I swam laps for the first time in three years since I quit the swim team and it was a struggle. I swam 100 free 200 medley 200 free 200 medley 100 free. I started the first 50 really strong and fast with a flip turn at 25 m and everything, but when I ended the first 50 I died a little bit. I kept the fast speed the whole time, I never learned how to swim laps slow, but I had to take a few breathes after every 25m. It was bad and I'm hoping it goes better next time. Also on a swim team you always swam on the right side of the lane, but I guess that just doesn't happen outside of swim teams? I learned that pretty quickly. The guy I was sharing the lane with got so mad at me. Apparently when you are sharing a lane you take one side of the lane. I rode back 1.4 miles still as hilly.
So I learned that swimming doesn't count for your weeks off, I don't know what I'm going to do about that. This week could be off I suppose I did dance for at least an hour and a half a day, but I wasn't running. Week one down?
