Brebeuf Invitation 5K Race 9:00 A.M.

Comments:
About 63 degrees. Ran a one mile warm-up and did drills on track before race. Then ran in my first varsity race. Time was 18:26. A few things went wrong. Before race, I was not feeling good because I ate pasta that morning. (Eat bananas from now on.) Next, I got spiked in the side of my ankle in the first 100 meters of the race. Had two gashes in ankle and a hole in my spike. Course was a bit muddy, and I should have done much better, but I am still okay with my PR. Next goal is to break 18 minutes. In JV race, Jake Krevda and Kyle Taylor both got times to replace our bottom two on varsity. I am now #6, with Kyle #7 with a PR this year of 18:40.
