Puffers Pond Pulpit Hill

October 6, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Hectic day just doing a bunch of stuff. IDK if any of it was good. Just stress feeling actually. Head was congested last night and this morning. I wanted to go longish today, at least for a taper. Nice loop up around the pond. Came back by Mill River instead of along the road. Not sure if it was quite 6.5 but Ill round up with the striders I did. Felt ok, not as good as yesterday, the aches played a role but I still kept strong form I thought. It was great weather. As I was coming back the sun had set and I could feel it getting cooler. Nothing that sore today, just overall sluggish. ITs and ankles felt good.

Essentials: Stretch

Just a stretch in the parking lot after a few striders just to open up my stride. Its Race week and since I wasnt feeling it I didnt stop off at the rec center. Now I just want to destress and get into the racing zone. After tomorrows experiments I will regroup and plot out how to move forward. Also dont want to run my immune system down too much. Come to think of it on a side note, I tend to race better when I have some shit to deal with the week before. At PSB I pulled my hammy that week, had a solid race. At Oberlin senior year, sore back, busted out a PR. Back then I think they took the mental pressure off and let me truly race. Not really logical, but hey whatever works.
