Houston Marathon

Gorgeous weather for a marathon, saw Jason and the Horrels at the start, saw Kelly around mile 6, parents around mile 7, Horrels a couple more times, meet up with a couple of guys around Rice and chatted for a bit, pit stop during mile 1, felt pretty good and kept pace with 3:00 group until about Mile 19/20, had to take another pit stop and legs started giving up, mostly likely a combination of inadequate training, too aggressive of a start, and poor refueling, pulled it together for the last few miles, 404 of 7808 finishers, 328 of 4782 males, 51 of 458 males 25-29. Half marathon split was 1:28:54. Splits: 7:37, 6:33, 6:49, 6:38, 6:39, 6:57, 6:22, 6:42, 6:47, 6:43, 6:45, 6:53, 6:47, 7:05, 6:51, 6:50, 6:48, 6:51, 7:05, 10:55, 7:26, 8:17, 8:33, 8:01, 7:56, 7:45, 1:32.
