Ahhh man needed to get the run in and it was perfect weather for it. Just chilling in the afternoon when I headed out. Started out slowly since my legs were sore, so I had to work into it. Coming up to the stadium, roads were still closed it looked like. There was a weird traffic pattern where people were driving around the stadium, checking in, and then going into the parking lot so they could move into the dorms. It sucked because they were kicking up dirt on the road and it was bad to run along side. I cut in over to the track and then across since I didnt want to deal with that. Then went up Fearing and legs were starting to feel back into it, so I just kept going. Went down to Triangle then came back on the backside of Amherst College. Coming down the hill, I notice way up ahead of me a girl that I recalled passing on the bike path on my way out. She must have been also finishing up her run. I put on the jets and picked it up a lot down the hill just trying to pass her before I got home. As I blew by I could hear her sigh. Made it just in time but that gave me the motivation to finish strong.
Essentials: Stretch, stick roll
Stretch outside felt good, mostly since its been a while. Calves especially tight. Feel tight and stretched out at the same time, feels kinda weird. Feel so much better after the run though so so nice to get back out there after this tough week. Town was exciting lots of people still moving in and kids all over the place walking around, probably getting their bearing or meeting up with old friends. They all look like middle schoolers to me, hard to tell they are "college" students. Well times change and you got to roll with it.
