Comments:
Gansett Half Marathon in Narragansett, RI. 1.5 mile warmup and 5 minutes. Only one competitive guy in the field. Went out with him. We were going at a pretty good clip. I noticed that despite running the same pace, he was working harder than I was. I wanted to drop him and made a move at 4.5 miles. I was alone from that point onward. Middle miles were tough. Around mile 8, I thought I was gonna drop out. However, I regained my rhythm and put more distance on the field. Finished in 1:12:35. Faster than I expected. Cooled down for only 5 minutes. My legs were dead and my leg hamstring was wicked tight. Great day overall.
