Skiing

More skiing today! Got to sleep in and then we headed out to a different hill around lunch time. This hill was much shorter, basically a glorified sledding hill, but had a fast lift so you could do a bunch of runs. The lift up basically dragged you along on your skis, and it was tiring for the legs to get pulled honestly. Then at the top, I realized how much steeper this hill was, wasnt a nice ride down through some trees. It was a drop! Kinda scared but we just went all in. I got whooped, fell a lot. Some runs were smooth but I fell a lot on the icy parts and the bumps people made from cutting across. Had to take a breather in the middle of the runs. At the end of the day, legs were sore and I could feel tenderness in my groin and the side I always fell on. I kinda like the easier more scenic hills more. Glad we ended early and made it back home to rest up.

First week in Germany in the books. Still havent quite settled all the way in, and really I think its because my routine was shaken up so much it takes me a longer time to adjust all the way. No running, odd eating times, not having control over where to go, being an outsider, all kinda add up slowly but I try to stay positive and put in the good work because thats why I am here. Looking forward to some runs when I get back though. Again and again the evidence is there about how positive running is.
