April 17, 2017 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 40 degrees, nice
Comments:
I felt so slow and lethargic. I'm not sure why.
Before the run, I had to drop off my taxes in the mail at the post office, so I didn't make it to Fleet Feet by 6:30.
So I started my run near Campbell and Leland, then ran to Rockwell and got on the Fleet Feet path there. I ran the typical Fleet Feet Route to the River Park trail but only ran a very little bit down the path before turning around. My Garmin beeped to let me know my pace for my first mile was 10:19, and when I saw that, I decided I would turn around because I felt something what off today. I turned around and ran slowly back to home in 21:44. I saw the Fleet Feet people running out on my way back in toward Lincoln Square/home. My average heart rate on the run was 134.
When I got back to my home, I decided to do 4 x 100 meter strides decently fast (about 16 seconds).
I saw my neighbor, Cal, outside on our street and I talked with him for a couple minutes. He shared that he had been in Kansas City for the weekend visiting his dad, and that his dad was sick. He said that his dad almost didn't make it through the weekend. I told him I would be thinking of him and his dad.
