Comments:
Did a short team warmup then I hung out for a bit before warming up for the 1500m. I was supposed to be tempoing, but during the race I never really knew how fast I was going so I started out in the back and made sure that I kept moving up as the race progressed. After that I signed into the shot put and it was an "open pit" meaning anyone could step up whenever they wanted to. I did one practice throw and then went on my cooldown. My first 3 throws were all in between 15'5'' and 15'11''. I really wanted to get over 16ft so on the last one I took a few seconds to get settled in, and I bent my knees slightly too. My first three attempts I just walked up and threw the shot put almost immediately. I ended up getting 16'9.5'' on that last attempt which I was really happy about. After throwing, I ran for 20 more minutes and then cheered on everyone else. Girls won which was cool
