Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Left earlish and made it back to Amherst, last leg of the long drive week. It was uneventful and very boring, but I made good time. After running my errands, hit the roads for a good run. Started out really slow, legs sluggish from the drive and yesterday, and the general lack of miles lately. It was real nice and sunny out though. I went through Amherst College. Their construction is getting intense though, and the road out was completely blocked. I tried to go around but I was trapped at a dead end. I had to go back into the trails, which dont really exist anymore due to the other construction, and bushwhack to get out. All that starting and stopping knotted up my gut and I started to get a cramp. I had to go slow from there. It didnt get full blown but it didnt feel very good. I continued up Triangle then just came back down through Prospect. I think it was the combo of lack of water and a small lunch. Either way, this was good for my legs to shake out and start to get back into it. I need to get the tempo back in.
Essentials: Stretch
Ate and drank as soon as I got back, then got to some stretches. Legs actually feel better than past few days. Not as flexible but not as sore either. I realized also its been a week since I played softball too, and that could make me pretty sore in the future.
