Exercise Type: Walk
Comments:
Beelined it for Mirror Lake in the back part of the park so we could get a real hike in. Starting out it was kinda crowded, but as we progressed it became a little more quiet. The weather was perfect, felt comfortable. Got another nice view of the park for the back part. Solid hike, around 6 miles or so. No issues with the ankle just walking, even in sneakers. After Mirror Lake, went back around the visitors center and ended with the views of Yosemite Falls, which was just packed up actually, especially for that late in the day. We came back a little early so that we could grab some groceries and get ready for new years. Honestly, this year just flew by. No one knew what to expect, but we all got through it. For me, I was just grinding forward, every day, working towards my immediate goals. I felt in the zone most of the way even with the hiccups. Running was tough this year though. I had several stretched of piss poor mileage and injuries, and I suffered from it. Still, I kept coming back and picking up where I could and using running to my advantage. Thats what my motto really was this year, and used it to keep moving forward, advancing and progressing. Made it to see the ball drop, which was at 9:00pm PST, which was awesome because then I could just go to sleep early cause I was pretty tired from the day, and this year.
