Comments:
I feel like I'm in a good place right now. The way the race went, I had to go out fast with some Prep guys who inevitably slowed down and I passed on maybe lap two or three. I then ran the rest of the race completely alone, and just tried to push through. Not having people to race with made laps 6-8 very tough, and I'm worried that I'm not going to have a lot of practice actually racing the competition before championships, whether that's in the 32, 16, or something else. Hopefully that'll come at Draper, and maybe if I do Chantilly next week. We'll see. For now, I'm pleased with the progress I'm making and the way that I've rebounded from two straight weeks of just cross training. It was hard to focus today, but I think I gave it a little extra effort since I felt super disgusting afterwards and that makes me happy. Very proud of all the Hopper that races today it was an impressive meet for this point in the season.
