3 x Alumni, 4 x 400

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First practice back, and our last workout before Conferences. It was 3 by mile on alumni and 4 by 400 on the track following with 200 recovery.

I never really felt like I was fully warmed up until half way through the 400s. Hip flexor gave me trouble again on the alumnis, but felt good on the track. Group pushed the pace a bit--we were supposed to run 5:52ish for all three, but it was more like 5-6 seconds faster. I tried to stay consistent in back but fell behind and ended up running 5:56 on each of the last two after a 5:48 first one.

The 400s felt pretty good, I don't have much to say about them. I'm used to doing a lot more than four so it was over quickly, even with the 3 alumni beforehand.

Team is getting hyped for this weekend, and I can't wait to race my first conference meet on our home course.
