2.5 mile warmup
5xmile workout, 75 second reovery, splits: 5:34, 5:39, 5:39, 5:36, 5:33.
3 mile cooldown

Felt kinda sick thoughout the day and after getting a big headache after my morning run I got a little worried about this workout. I rested and hydrated during the day though, and it ended up being totally fine. Went to GDS practice since they had the AU track today, which was very puddly but otherwise not too busy. Did some abridged warmups and then went right into it because I just wanted to get it over with.

After the first one (which was a little too fast, I was aiming for 5:40s) I realized that I was actually feeling really good. But I made a concerted effort to slow down on the next two, and hit target pace. Then on the fourth and fifth I was just feeling so good that I didn't even look at my watch and the time just came down by a few seconds. When I crossed the line after the last one I looked at my watch and then said to Anthony: "I'm ready for Rowan." Can't wait to race this weekend after this workout. Felt super controlled and easygoing. Did core with some of the GDS guys afterwards. Was great to be back at GDS for a practice one time before I leave again. Will be back for winter break!
