Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Back to the grind. First run of 2020 and the new decade. A lot of running went down in the last decade, transition from my HS career to Case and into "retirement" and refocused running. More miles here on out. I got out a little late. Slept in a lot since we got in so late so my day felt shifted. New shoes too went soon after we got back from the running store. Didnt put too many miles on my old shoes but they felt beat and worn down and flat. Just did a standard loop shoes felt good from the jump and I held pace well today. I needed it could tell I havent run in a while. Maybe thats why I was so anxious the past week. Good start to get back out there.
Essentials: Stretch
Stretched because I was pretty sore. Can feel it in my quads especially. Feet not that itchy today. Thinking back it was pretty hard to run with the rash last year even though I tried to trudge through it. Glad I was more careful this season. Felt surprisingly comfortable in the wet overcast rain but that does not mean that I dont enjoy the sunshine and beach.
