Sorry I haven't been logging all my training on here. Probably gonna keep up a bare minimum of logging races and will try to log other stuff when I can.

Went into this planning on running 79s, which I did. The race got out exactly how I wanted it to: 3:15 ish for the first K, then 5:14 for the mile. I slowed down a bit for the second mile, but not too much--came through 3200 in something like 10:32 (5:18 for the second 1600). Saw 15:55 going into the final 200 which means I sadly only closed in 40 but also ran a 5:23 for the third 1600. The race got really hard for me about halfway through. I felt great through the mile and then started to feel a bit tired. Got caught in no man's land for a bit, but traded off with a Widener guy trying to catch up to Rod. All in all, a good effort–happy with the PR. Feels like a great stepping stone to go for my goal of sub-16 this spring. Excited to race at conferences now!
