Rain came in today! It was chilly and rainy all day and I went walking in it, twice down to Dunbar. Gonna go through a lot of socks... I ran after it got dark. Hip flexor was SUPER sore last night and this morning from the shock to my system. It loosened up as I walked around today and was fine when I headed out to run. I chose to run to Kits and just went straight out and back on Highbury. Still lots of puddles so I took to the streets when I could. Did not realize how hilly it is. Its a good downhill to the water then I climb back up. Also hit a bunch of stoplights so I am not sure that the pace is truly representative. I didnt really know where I was going and I couldn't see much, so I kept it simple. However, the view once you get to the shore is really really cool, what I remember Vancouver looking like. Still kinda hazy from the rain and I didnt have my glasses on, but from what I could tell, the seawall path is cool. Probably slowed down on the way back up the hill, but I didnt feel as gassed as I did coming back yesterday.
Essentials: Stretch
Ok stretch when I got back, more sitting. Legs are still really really sore. After averaging 60 steps a day for 2 weeks, I am now going several km a day. I love that feeling in my legs though, been missing it.
