Easier than Breaststroke

February 6, 2021 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
I was pleasantly surprised to find out my pace for this run. I know variety is important in both length and pace in a running schedule so I decided to pick up the pace a little today after a few sluggish runs in the bad weather.
I was grimacing the whole time but not because the run was so hard but because I am overwhelmed at the moment with balancing my work load. I kinda wanted to let all those bad emotions out, acknowledge them and allow them. It felt good to push just a tiny bit today. Anytime I let myself get really upset for a moment I ran much faster which then made me smile.
Ran down hill down Pike/Allen to East River Park and ran back to the apartment on Delancy. I followed this guy who was running like he was swimming breaststroke for about a mile. He definitely helped my pace as I really wanted to catch him. He also made me wonder if anyone ever looks at my gait and wonders what I'm doing with my life.
