February 12, 2021 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Lab schedule shaken up because of Family Day on Monday. I guess Canadians were jealous of us celebrating Presidents Day so they literally made up a holiday in February... anyways I fit in my run in the morning. It was cold out, cold enough for pants. First time I had to wear them this year and in Vancouver. Worth it, kept me very comfortable. Been a few days so I was rusty for sure. Ran down past Trafalgar, cut across King Edward and ran through some of the condo complexes in Arbutus, then came back on 31st. Air was fresh and the sunshine was welcoming. The view of downtown skyline and the mountains from the ridge there is premier, folks who live there are so lucky. Coming back I had to work the hills, calves started to get a little sore also.
Essentials: Stretch, roll
Good stretch when I got back. Need to roll a little more, calves are tight. This was a tough stretch of the week with adjusting to the cold I think, so a run really helped get things moving for me.
