Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Nice AM long run. Weather was perfect for me, a little drizzle here and there. Went out on 16th to the greenway, up to Burrard and the corner of the bridge to downtown, where the Welcome to Kitsilano sign is, then came back on Cornwall along the beach trial. Lots of people were out running in Kits by the time I came through. Real nice to see. I felt great all the way out except for the fact that I had to pee wicked bad. Thats one problem with city running, not a lot of places you can jump off and pee like you can out in the woods. I would look for empty homes with "For Sale" signs and go in the backyard, but there aren't many of those in Vancouver, they are all "Sold". Anyways I picked up the pace and held it until I got to Jericho beach. I wasn't expecting to go that far but I thought it was worth it since legs were actually feeling pretty good. After my pit stop, cut through the woods and came up by West Point Grey Academy and back down Discovery. Dropped the hammer down up the hill to Queen Elizabeth again. Its a great way to finish up a long run. Legs felt super fresh today and could put in that work. I could have gone longer today I bet. Almost clocked in 60 mins too, been a while since I crossed that threshold (probably over the summer sometime). Nice loop overall, nice to get over to Kits, such a beachy feel right there in the city.
Essentials: Stretch
Ok stretch when I got back. Legs might be sore later, ITs and such, but overall they held up and were supported. No slipping and sliding like last weekend.
