Bridle Trails

May 30, 2021 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Got out for a decent long run today. I didnt realize it was going to be overcast and drizzling until I actually got out onto the street, at which point it was too much to turn around so I just went shorts and t-shirt. Wandered over to Collingwood and took that all the way down to 41st and Blenheim before catching the trails from the other side. Its easy down just coasting. Had a little cramp still and my pace wasn't that intense. Coming through the trails I tried to pick up the pace and pushed it all the way up Crown. That hill is brutal in the beginning but caught a good pace for the last half mile or so, legs kinda came into themselves and I felt more comfortable. Good time and distance today considering how my legs have been feeling. Calves were not sore or tight at all today. The cool overcast was actually refreshing in some sense.

Essentials: Stretch, roll

I was pretty soaked when I got back from the combo of the drizzle and high humidity. Had to dry off as I stretched and noshed a bagel. Legs feel decent throughout. I was kinda tired yesterday from walking and running but the longer mileage felt good despite legs feeling a little chunky in the beginning. Didnt increase my weekly mileage this week because I went so short on Thursday so here's to a bounce back as things start to open up again. Maybe some races allowed at the end of the summer??
