Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Tired again this morning. No real rain but overcast and kinda chilly. Good running weather because the ground kinda wet and mixed with the leaves, it feels a lot like XC. I wanted to go long today was feeling good after yesterday. Prepped up then headed out east trying to get to Cambie. Took 16 out and missed a little turn in Shaughnessy so I actually came out a little bit lower on Cambie. The straight shot out was fine but legs were feeling a little bit heavy. Went down to City Hall and then ran along VGH to Oak and popped down to 7th, took that back to 6th and Blenheim before coming back up 16th. The way back, legs definitely feeling the oppression of the city streets but I kept the long run pace, working up as I went along. I felt prepared cardio wise but this was definitely a test of the legs. I think the weather helped keep me going. Might be just be but I think its impressive to get all the way down there. Coming back up the hill was definitely a struggle but I found my pace once I got back. I thought I was close to 10 so I just did 4 extra loops around the block real quick and it popped me up right to 10.
Essentials: Stretch
I was pretty beat when I returned but took my time to stretch. Legs are gonna be sore after this. I don't think I have run double digits in a long long time. At least this year, maybe even last year too. That kinda sucks actually since this used to be so routine and just part of my week. Well thing about the old days is they the old days.
