Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Looking for some good mileage today after feeling so blobby yesterday. We are on a streak here of near perfect weather. Wasn't too hot which was good for long run. Ran out 20th through Shaughnessy to Heather, then across the landbridge through the park. Came back along 1st and 8th until I got to the hill at Alma. Starting out, went with it, easy pace working into it. Lots of straights and sidewalks through the city. Picked up the pace but could feel the pounding as I went on. Felt good along the water, lots of people were out today walking and biking. Hills on 1st were also strong but I really started to struggle up Alma, legs felt like they were going rubbery. I was able to bring out a strong kick as I finished up though. Back and hammies were getting sore, means my core is weak and needs to strengthen to help me on this endurance.
Essentials: Stretch
I was soaked when I returned and went straight in to rehydrate and the stretch out. Felt a little better but legs and back feel beat now. Luckily its easy to recover and cool down today.
