Back to ChCh today. Took it nice and easy from Te Anau to Queenstown. It ended up being a nice and sunny day and I enjoyed the flight back. We got back and had time to regroup so we headed out for a little run to shake out the legs. Brought my shoes all this way thought I should use them. Ran a nice loop all the way around Hagley Park. I went out past the hospital and Botanic Gardens and kept going to the north part of the park then came back. Kinda knew where I was going but missed the turn at Riccarton and ran into the park a little bit. Thought I would catch Dad so I was looking out but didnt see him. Looped back a little bit once I got back to the Gull station at the corner and realized I got dropped and cooled it back down into Addington. Pace felt fast today though, probably because I hadn't run in a while and it felt really good to get out and let it go. Weather was damn near perfect too.
Essentials: Stretch
Easy stretch outside when I got back. Sore now because I was pretty sore after kayaking in the upper body and now my legs got used. Beautiful town and best way to see things is to run so for that, happy I was able to get out. With the add on, went a little bit over 5 miles (would be 8.5 km...)
