heres the deal... i had to go to the meet, run the DMR and if i had enough time i would run the 2 mile. The show started at 3:00 and i had to be leaving the meet by 2:30 in order to make it to the second act of the show.
we got to the track meet and warmed up. i ran the 800 in the DMR and got a pr of 2:12. i felt pretty good but my head was to far up so my throat got too dry. also, i felt a new soreness in my legs after te 800. i did a cooldown, and then waited to see if i would be running the 3200. the meet went fast enough that i could run it. i warmed up, and then went to run the 2 mile with austin and brenden. I started out in about 2nd for the first few yards, but then held myself back too much. my first lap was a 41 second. most of my splits were 39, 42, and a few 41s. my last lap was a 32! i ended with a pr of 10:41. Matt moody lapped me on his last lap, austin beat me by about 7 seconds, and i was ahead of brenden. even though my last lap was really fast, i do not think i could have used it earlier in the race. i left at about 2oclock with plenty of time to spare.
