Track workout.
I mile warm up on track
5 x 800M w/ 2min rest
5 mile cool down outside
First 500M of the 800M at 3K/5K pace (70-72 quarters). Last 300M at Mile pace (65-66 quarters)
Felt kind of shitty overall today and wasn't excited for the workout. Didn't feel too great either during it. My stomach was really tense for the last 3 reps. I need to do my ab work, I have been kind of neglecting that. Fell off again towards the end. I've really been sucking it up in these workouts. Tempo's have been going great, but once I try to run a 33 second lap on that indoor track in my moon boots, it just takes it out of me. I think I'll try my next track workout in flats and focus more on hitting my times by giving myself more rest.

The shift became less evident with each rep. The last ones didn't change much...
800M race this Saturday at Bethel. I don't want to race a mile again just yet, but I don't want to take 3 weeks off before Snowshoe, so I'm throwing this in for fun. Also, depending on seeds, I might be in the same heat as Boots who is also racing the 800M at Bethel!!! Either way, I'm going to keep the next three days easy. I want to do another workout, but I need to remember that Track season lasts for 4 more months.
