Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Didnt sleep that well on the air mattress but had time to regroup myself before heading out to the farm. It was just Phil and I, no kids this time. Was looking forward to it but I been enough times now it just feels normal. Had a pretty good time it was again short and sweet. Great to see coach, a few older alumni, and Alyssa. We barely warmed up and just popped into the race. Grass was wet and sky was overcast and the temperature was perfect. Its exactly what I expect for Cleveland this time of the year. A big pack went out and I stuck in with the next pack mixed with some alumni and current women. Pace was great a little under 7:30 and I felt totally fine. There were some guys that just torched the last mile so I hung back with the girls and finished with them really strong. Again, the farm just felt so natural, but different now that I am not racing there, and the old team isn't there. Phil and I were just thinking how we are getting older and older and more removed. We did a little mile cool down before grabbing food. The breakfast after was great talked to a lot of current students about school, careers, all my professor hat stuff. Im not stoked about the state of academia but there are still good kids and good people that want to be the best they can be and make the system work.

Essentials: Stretch

Barely stretched at the pavilion before we headed out. I was starting to feel pretty sore after that... Rest of the day we took a nap while watching Ellie, then we went out and played basketball in Willoughby, which I never do. My ankles hurt a lot after that but it was fun and got a little more exercise from that.
