Comments:
I felt great when I was about to start this race. I was doing great running with my friend and we kept pushing eachother harder to keep going. Mile 1 was a breeze and felt great to run. Once we got to about mile 1.5 i think i had too much gatorade and so i was starting to feel pretty bad but once i got to about mile 2.5 it was getting worse but my friends and coaches just kept pushing us harder. As soon as we got onto the last 300 me and my friend caught up to another teammate and we were running strong and then people were screaming at a bishop kelly guy behind us to pass so i started screaming at my teammates and we all started sprinting all out from the 200 to the finish. I felt great running the last 200 because i know one of my strengths is sprinting so i just kept trying to push myself harder on the sprinting and i think i passed around 4 to 6 guys on the final 100 to the finish.
I think something i did great was the last 200 i sprinted all out as fast as i could go and tried pushing my teammates on to keept in front of the other teams at the finish.
something i can work on is not eating so much before a race.
mile one was great and felt like a breeze, mile two started getting harder because of eating too soon i think, mile three was hard but i knew i couldnt walk and i had everybody cheering me and my teammates on and i knew i had to push on till i hit the 200 and then i knew i have to finish strong as possible and pass as many people as i can and not let people pass me on the final sprint.
my goal was to get under 22 minutes but i got a minute slower but i still think i tried my best to go as fast as i could push my self during the first 3 miles and then the final stretch.
