XC Meet #2

Well for starts it was a way better race then last week. Even before the raced I just felt more pumped and ready to run than last week. I also had a lot more fun cheering everyone else on in their races. I felt like I got off to a lot better start than last week and that was one of the things I wanted to focous on for the race. I tried to go out a little harder and not hold back as much as I did the Previous week. I felt pretty fresh and relaxed for that first mile and then I just latched on to some kids and let them pull me for awhile. I felt a lot stronger mentaly this race too, because last meet I would just let people go, but this race I just told myself to go with everyone else. About half way through the second mile I started to get a side ache which really sucked. I was finally able to run through it when I hit the baseball fields, so that was good. Cumming up to the baseball feilds I heard Brice yelling to start passing people and that's when I started to dig a little harder. And then Coach told me to go basicaly right before I hit the track, so going in to the finish I was really pumped. I felt like I fininshed way harder this time and I actually caught a guy on the 200 and almost caught another on the straight. I'm still learning what my body can do and still how to race, but I'm just looking forward to continue to improve. I ran almost 40 seconds better than last meet so that was way tight and I also got a sweet little medal. I can't wait for SliverWood, I really want to tear it up there!
