fresh pond race/workout

Weather: hotish but windy

Comments:
ran the 2.5 mile race around fresh pond in caimbridge today, it felt really good actually, although it did hurt, probs cause i didnt quite have enough preperation time again, similar to butterfly. we warmed up a little more than one loop around the pond, and then "cooled down" by doing another loop with 6 25 second pick ups with 1.5 minutes recovery. not really fast ones, but deffs a fast pace. those werent too tiring. i ran suprisingly well, the pace was pretty dang good although to be honest im not sure if i could have held it for another .6 miles (which would fill it out to a 5k). also, the course was paved and flat (1 measly hill at the end), so i cant really translate it too accurately to a real xc race. pretty heartening though, i think im finally getting ready for real races!
