Welllll....I don't really feel like complaining.
So I won't. But if I do it'll be super quick.
Mile 1: I was much too conservative. I wanted to save myself because I assumed I'd be really tired based on how everything's been going lately. But yeah it was too slow. Then I ran the whole race by myself.
Mile 2: Well the hill got me. At least I ran up half of it, last year I didn't run up any of it. And when I got to the top some Centennial kid was like "YEEEAAAAH!!!!!!" like an aggressive wrestler or something. And I thought he was odd for doing that, but I guess it was nice of him? And let's see, I thought I was about to die. But then I felt so much better on....
Mile 3: I wanted to do something right, so when Bryce told me the girl in front of me was dying, I decided to go and get her. And I did and it made me feel better..
Oh, and I must say, I loved the course decorations like the bone Christmas tree and the yellow "trippy" spots, that I so perfectly avoided stepping in.
All in all it was a lot of fun before. Like last night's spaghetti feed and hanging out with the team today and such, but my race wasn't fabulous at all. So I'm sorry varsity girls and coaches for letting you guys down (again). But I'm proud of how everyone else did. :)
And what else..oh! Happy Birthday to Rusty! And I wish I didn't have to leave early. I hope the varsity guys did well.
