Comments:
went out hard and held on. hip did well today, no problems from it. hip flexor felt a little sore before the race. first mile was ok, lots of twists and turns on gravel, 5:33. second mile i tried to maintain but ended up a little faster at 10:48. dry heaved at 1/2 mile to go, dang it. still was able to recover and finish hard.
