Exercise Type: Run
Weather: windy 55
Comments:
I ralphed major in the street today. Don't think anyone saw. Whoops. Must let food settle before I, in the throes of regret for eating all that cheese stuffed ravioli, decide to quick "run it off".
After puking on Oakwood Dr. I ran for a while and then turned into the cemetary (still feeling nausiated). Finally got to see the Civil War memorials. I was feeling really contemplative today, anyway, so a walk though the cemetary felt appropriate.
I always think of life as a 100 year term. Reading the headstones I realized, you don't usually get 100 years. You get about 80. Many live past 100, some die sooner. But if I live until eighty, I've already logged 1/4 of it. 20, 40, 60, 80. I have logged 1/4 of my college term and 1/4 of my life term, theoretically and congruently. Trippy.
I am cool with it, though. Even if there is no after life, I like the idea of the cycle. Conservation of matter, man. Matter is neither created nor destroyed. Just transformed. Sweet observation, Chinese philosophers.
